I like to recomend this for german roaches and fruit flies. It does come out as a foam. That makes it really useful for fruit flies. You can foam the drains. It is a little ackward for german roaches because it is a foam. The best way to use it as put spots of the material in key areas and take your gloved hand and just spread it. You can also use a small brush.

German Roach Control: Apply Tekko Trio Foam as an important part of a roach control program.
It can reach those nymphs that fail to forage to baits.

For drains, apply foam into and around the downspout and catch basin area.

Applications
Surface or Spot Applications: Hold can 10" to 12" away from the desired surface to be treated; use a sweeping motion for complete coverage. It comes out as a dry foam and does not run.
Crack and Crevice Applications: Use the fold-up extension tube and apply to void areas in places where pests may harbor. It is generally non-staining, but the label states to test a small amount in an inconspicuous location. Apply once a month.
