Cholecalciferol
What is Cholecalciferol/Vitamin D3
Cholecalciferol is a form of vitamin D, also called vitamin D3. Vitamin D3 kills anticoagulant-resistant rats and mice yet substantially reduces the risk of secondary poisoning. It also poses low toxicity to birds. With Terad 3 bait translocation is also reduced.

How does Vitamin D3 and Cholecalciferol work?
Cholecalciferol is is an acute single feeding rodent bait. Vitamin D3 mobilizes the calcium from the bone matrix to plasma and death from hypercalcemia.
After one lethal dosage, rodents will usually stop feeding due to rapid onset of symptoms.
Terad3 Blox and Terad Pellets have cholecalciferol as their active ingredients. Terad3 Ag Blox is registered with the EPA and OMRI for organic production.
Â
Secondary Poisoning
Their is a lower risk of secondary poisonings due to the minimal accumulation in rodent tissues.

Treatment Protocol
There is no direct antidote, however there are treatment programs available for sub-lethal ingestions.
