Product Information
Agrisel Glufosinate 24.5 Weed & Grass Killer
Agrisel Glufosinate 24.5 Weed & Grass Killer is a fast, and non-selective herbicide for emerged weeds. As a foliar and contact spray, it travels through the green tissue to get results in one to four days.
This broad-spectrum water-soluble herbicide kills and controls emerged annual and perennial grass and broadleaf weeds such as burdock, chickweed, clover, dandelion, barnyard grass, annual bluegrass, crabgrass, dallisgrass, and more listed weeds and grasses.
Agrisel's Glufosinate 24.5 Weed & Grass Killer contains 24.5% of glufosinate-ammonium. It has twice as much a active ingredient as the popular Finale Herbicide with 11.33 % Glufosinate ammonium .
Glufosinate 24.5% Weed & Grass Killer is only foliar-active spraying with little or no activity in the soil. As a post-emergent herbicide, control is only at the emerged weed stage. To achieve consistent weed control, a thorough and uniform spray coverage is necessary. It is rainfast in four hours. If it rains within four hours, retreatment is necessary.
Brand Alternatives: Finale Herbicide, X-Out
What To Expect
Within 2 to 4 days after application, young shoots and leaves will start a stage of necrosis, if weeds are not under stress conditions.
When to Apply
Since Glufosinate 24.5% Weed & Grass Killer is a foliar-active material, the best time to spray is when weeds are actively growing. Stress conditions such as cool temperatures or drought conditions minimize weed control effects. To avoid the chance of reduced lambsquarter palmer amaranth and velvetleaf control, spray only between dawn and 2 hours before sunset. For best weed control results, do not cultivate five days before the application to 7 days after application.
How To Spray Agrisel Glufosinate 24.5
Use a hand pump sprayer or a backpack sprayer. Do not use air-assisted spray equipment, droplet application equipment or flood jet nozzles.
- Spot or Directed Applications: Spray rates are between 0.75-0.175 oz per gallon of water depending on weed height or diameter. See additional information tab or label for futher directions.
- Broadcast or Boom Applications: Apply 12 - 38 fl oz/A (0.22 – 0.69 lb ai/A) . The suggested rates depend upon weed growth (see label). Use at least 40 gallons of water per acre with a minimum of 30-psi spray pressure.
- Before using Glufosinate 24.5% Weed & Grass Killer, thoroughly clean bulk storage tank, refillable tank, nurse tanks, spray tank, lines, and filter, particularly if a herbicide with the potential to injure crops was previously used. Equipment must be thoroughly rinsed using a commercial tank cleaner.
- After using Glufosinate 24.5% Weed & Grass Killer, triple rinse the spray equipment and clean with a commercial tank cleaner before using for crops not labeled LibertyLink. Make sure any rinsate or foam is thoroughly removed from the spray tank and boom. Rinsate may be disposed of following the pesticide disposal directions on this label.
- Nozzle Spray Quality: Glufosinate 24.5% Weed & Grass Killer is a contact herbicide and requires proper nozzles with uniform thorough spray coverage to achieve optimum weed control. See the nozzle section for more detailed information.
