Product Information
DIY Pro Carpenter Bee Kit
Protect your property from carpenter bee damage with our comprehensive DIY Pro Carpenter Bee Kit. For superior carpenter bee control, this kit pairs Avesta CS with Tirade 1% Dust to stop active galleries and safeguard your property from damage.
Avesta CS is a broad-spectrum insecticide with 9.7% Lambda-Cyhalothrin. Its microencapsulated formula releases slowly for extended residual control and lasting protection on treated wood surfaces.
Tirade Dust— Residual Protection in Galleries
Tirade Dust provides quick knockdown and lasting residual control of carpenter bees and other pests. The ready-to-use dust is easily applied into carpenter bee holes and hard-to-reach areas for complete coverage inside galleries.
Tirade 1% Dust: Applied directly into Carpenter bee galleries to eliminate existing infestations
JT Eaton Duster: A high-quality duster tool designed for precise application of insecticidal dust into bee holes and crevices.
Step-by-Step Application Instructions
Mix Avesta CS: Dilute at a rate of 0.2–0.4 fl. oz. per gallon of water in a sprayer.
Apply Liquid Treatment: Spray Avesta CS onto wood surfaces where carpenter bee activity is visible, focusing on eaves, trim, soffits, and other exposed areas.
Prepare for Dusting: Plan dust applications in the evening when carpenter bees are least active.
Apply Tirade Dust: Using the JT Eaton Duster, insert the tip into each gallery opening and puff Tirade Dust inside with 1–2 light puffs to coat the tunnels.
Allow Treatment to Work: Keep holes open for 1–3 days so returning bees and emerging adults contact the dust.
Seal Galleries: In late summer or fall, plug treated holes with wood dowels, filler, or sealant. Sand smooth and paint or stain the wood to discourage future nesting.
