How to Use Contrac Meal
- Inspect areas for rodent activity, such as along walls, corners, or concealed spaces.
- For rats, apply loose bait in bait stations at intervals of 15–30 feet. Maintain fresh bait for at least 10 days or until activity ceases.
- For mice, apply loose bait in bait stations at intervals of 8–12 feet. Maintain fresh bait for at least 15 days or until activity ceases.
- Replace any spoiled or contaminated bait immediately and dispose of dead rodents properly.
- To prevent reinfestation, limit access to food, water, and shelter, and establish permanent bait stations as needed.
Approved Use Locations and Restrictions
Contrac Meal Rodent Bait can be used in homes, commercial and industrial buildings, food processing facilities, public buildings, agricultural spaces, and transport vehicles. However, baiting beyond 100 feet from a structure or directly in burrows is prohibited.
Do not apply bait to food or feed crops.
Safety Recommendations
Always use tamper-resistant bait stations to protect children, pets, and non-target animals. In case of accidental ingestion, the antidote Vitamin K1 is readily available.

For both commercial and residential applications, the product can be used indoors and outdoors within 15 meters (approximately 50 feet) of buildings, including dwellings, farm buildings, food service establishments (non-food areas), empty granary bins, processing plants (feed and food in non-food areas), and storage areas (non-food). Important: Ensure the product is applied no further than 50 feet from buildings and avoid placement near or inside ventilation duct openings. |
