Dithiopyr 40 WSB is an excellent herbicide for pre-emergent control of crabgrass. Other important grasses include kikuyugrass, goosegrass, chickweed, annual bluegrass, barnyard grass, oxalis, ryegrass, spurge. Timing of Application and Irrigation

Quali-Pro's Dithiopyr 40 WSB works on crabgrass up to the beginning of tillering (the stem that shoots out). It will not work on emerged weeds. Use Dithiopyr 40 WSB when seedlings are first visible in established turfgrass. For best results use Dithiopyr 40 WSB before the tillering state begins and germination of target weeds.

It is important to apply Quali-Pro Dithiopyr 40 WSB for early post-emergence crabgrass control only before the tillering of crabgrass. This phase of crabgrass growth is typically the time when you can first easily see the crabgrass in the lawn turf. This early post-emergence activity of Quali-Pro Dithiopyr 40 WSB gives the user an additional 2-8 weeks longer period to make applications while still controlling crabgrass.
