When to Use Holly-Tone
- Feed twice a year: Spring and Fall (1/2 rate of spring rate)
- Blooming evergreens like azaleas and rhododendron are best fed in the spring at the first hint of bloom color.
- For berry crops, feed twice in the spring (during the early and late spring months-about 45-60 days apart.
- Never apply fertilizer to frozen soils.

Notes
- Since Azaleas, rhododendrons and laurel are shallow rooted plants, keep them well watered and mulched in dry weather. Do not cultivate near them as surface roots may be cut and the plant damaged
- When digging a hole for planting, dig it twice as wide as the root ball. Fill the hole with 1/2 soil removed and 1/2 good humus. Dig a hole twice as wide and about as deep as the root ball. Add one cup Holly-tone and mix thoroughly.
