For bedbug control, we recommend that you dust this powder in areas where the bed bugs may be hiding. Dust cracks and crevices. Bedbugs are so small that they can get into the size of a crack or crevice that a credit card could be inserted. Apply a light application. Dust should never be visible to the eye ; it should be placed in the cracks and crevices or recessed areas only. The bedbugs will cross over this dust and die from dehydration. JT Eaton's dust should be applied as the last treatment, because you do not want to get it wet. Do not apply other products such as liquid insecticides or aerosols on top of this dust.
How does JT Eaton's Kills Bedbugs and Crawling Insect Dust Work ?
This powder is made up of diatomaceous earth dust that literally cuts into the insects bodies, dehydrates them and causes them to die. It removes their protective oily membrane of the insect by its abrasive action and the insects dry out. Since an insect is about 65% water, it only takes about 30% dehydration before an insect dies. The insect will die in 1-2 days.
How long does it last ?
As long as the dust stays dry or is not disturbed it  will continue to kill insects.
Since this product is made of natural elements, there is no resistance. This diatomaceous dust comes from fossilized single-celled aquatic plants that have been deposited in the earth crust for millions of years.
