Selectrocide Biocide, Disinfectant, Sterilant, and Sanitizing Agent
Selectrocide Disinfectant allows the convenient production of ultra-pure chlorine dioxide at smaller amounts of ClO₂ for home or business use. Selectrocide is the first technology to allow its production of ultra-pure chlorine dioxide at the point of use without expensive equipment or harmful by-products. This EPA approved formulation is a hospital-grade disinfectant.

How It Works
Chlorine dioxide functions as an oxidative. It should not be confused with chlorine. The chemistry of chlorine dioxide does not produce a chlorinating reaction. It's only by-products are salt ions and water. The oxidative function forms breaches in the cell walls, killing the cells by cutting off the nutrients. Selectrocide Disinfectant destroys the protective layer of these cells.
- 1 gram pouch generates 1/2 gallon of 500 ppm ultra-pure ClO₂ to mix with 2 gallons of water to yield 2.5 gallons of disinfectant
- 5-gram pouch generates 2.6 gallons of 500 ppm ultra-pure ClO₂ to mix with 10.6 gallons of water to yield 13.2 gallons of disinfectant
Make the Concentrate (500 ppm)
- This is a concentrated solution that needs to be diluted
- Fill the container with the directed amount of water
- Tear open the packet and remove packet inside
- Place the packet in a container with water with a lid. Keep in a cool dark area for 2 hours ( Do not use before 2 hours )
- Remove packet after 2 hours, no longer than 24 hours (Do not reuse packet)
To Make Concentrate and To Make Disinfectant
- 1 G
- Take packet out of the envelope and submerge in 1/2 gallon of water
- Wait at least 2 hours but no longer than 24 hours
- Remove packet
- Make Disinfectant: Use 1 part of the soaking solution (1/2 gallon) and mix with 2 gallons of water to yield 2.5 Gallons of finished solution
- 5 G
- Take packet out of the envelope and submerge in 2.6 gallons of water
- Wait at least 2 hours but no longer than 24 hours
- Remove packet
- Make Disinfectant: Use 1 part of the soaking solution ( 2.6 gallons) and mix with 10.6 gallons of water to yield 13.2 Gallons of finished solution
- Do not expose Selectrocide Disinfectant solution to sunlight
- The container should be comparable to, an-approved,liquid-resealable containment incorporating a gasket-sealing surface and locking mechanism. Construction should be of dark or opaque/UV-blocking(preferred) oxidation-resistant plastic or glass. Some materials recommended include:
- HighDensityPolyethylene(HDPE)
- Polypropylene(PP)
- Polyethylene Terephthalate(PET) (PETE)
- PolyvinylChloride(PVC)
- Polycarbonate (PC)
- Glass(UV-blocking preferred)
- Gasket materials; silicone, Viton or EPDM
