TakeDown II Mini Blocks
Product Information
TakeDown II Mini Blocks
For the homeowner, commercial, and professional pest control market, TakeDown II Mini Blocks are an ideal choice. This rodent bait is a bromethalin-based bait, making it more efficient than anticoagulant rodenticides. Additionally, TakeDown II is perfect for fighting heavy infestations and rodent populations resistant to anticoagulant forms, specifically in commercial settings.
After the application of TakeDown II Mini Blocks, its effects can be observed within a short period of two to three days. This non-anticoagulant formulation has a mode of action that affects the nervous system of rodents, eliminating the possibility of any internal bleeding. It is perfect for combating anticoagulant-resistant rodents or for prevention against further resistance.
Although a single night's product consumption is usually sufficient for a lethal dose, it may take a few days for the first deceased rodents to become apparent.
Benefits
- Rodents show high acceptance of this product, yielding quicker results than anticoagulant rodenticides.
- Combats anticoagulant-resistant rodents
Application
Inspection: To ensure success in baiting strategies, it is crucial to conduct a thorough inspection of rodent activity. During the inspection, look for routes and trails used by rodents to link their food/water sources to their nesting sites. Moreover, unlike anticoagulant rodent bait, TakeDown II Mini Blocks with bromethalin is designed in such a way that rodents will stop consuming the bait after ingesting a toxic dose.
House Mice: Apply 1 block of bait per placement, usually spaced 8 to 12 feet apart. Up to 2 blocks may be needed at points of very high activity.
Rats: Apply 2 to 12 blocks per placement, usually spaced 15 to 30 feet apart. Adjust the amount of bait applied to the level of rat feeding expected at each bait placement.
Baiting Strategy: During the first few days of treatment, a significant amount of the bait will be consumed. After this, inspect the sites where rodents have been and refill bait, if necessary. Generally, less bait is eaten when bromethalin is used compared to anticoagulant bait. Continue replenishing bait at the location for one week or until there are no longer any signs of feeding.
Follow Up: It is important to replace bait that is either contaminated or spoilt quickly. Wearing gloves that are waterproof, it is necessary to collect and remove all dead animals that can be seen, along with leftover bait, as well as any bait that could be accessed by animals not intended as targets. To discourage further rodent infestation, it is advisable to reduce the amount of available sources of rodent food, water, and shelter as much as possible. If an infestation occurs again, repeat the treatment. For persistent infestations, it is suggested to set up permanent bait stations and ensure that the bait is replenished as necessary.
