Talon Weatherblok XT Single Feed Bait
Weatherblok XT Rodenticide is a professional-grade bait proven effective against Norway rats, roof rats, and house mice, including those resistant to warfarin. As a single-feed anticoagulant bait, just one night of feeding delivers a lethal dose, with rodent control typically visible within 4–5 days.
Durable All-Weather Performance
Weatherblok XT is engineered for both palatability and weatherability. It was one of the first rodenticides to pass the EPA’s weatherability test, making it reliable for both indoor and outdoor use—even in drains and sewers. Unlike other bait blocks that quickly break apart, Weatherblok XT maintains its shape and color, even after submersion in water for extended periods.
High Bait Acceptance
Formulated with a high-density grain matrix, Weatherblok XT consistently outperforms similar bait blocks in rodent preference tests—sometimes favored at a 2-to-1 ratio. Its flat, thick design with gnawing edges encourages feeding and allows more blocks to fit on a bait station rod, ideal for heavy infestations or high-demand placements. The bait also contains Bitrex®, a human taste deterrent for added safety.
How It Works
Powered by brodifacoum, Weatherblok XT delivers a lethal dose in a single feeding. After consumption, rodents typically begin dying within 4–5 days, ensuring quick and effective population reduction.
Key Benefits
- Low-dose, single-feed anticoagulant for fast, reliable control
- Withstands harsh weather, moisture, and sewer conditions
- Durable design without compromising palatability
- Contains Bitrex® to reduce risk of accidental ingestion
- The unique block shape fits more bait per station rod
Application
Place Weatherblok XT in areas where rodent activity is evident—such as along walls, corners, hidden spaces, and other concealed locations. Look for signs including gnaw marks, droppings, urine stains, or rodent hairs. For inspection tips, see:
Rodent Inspection Tips.
Rats (Norway and Roof Rats)
- Place 4–22 blocks per placement at 15–30 ft intervals.
- Always use tamper-resistant bait stations to protect children, pets, and non-target animals.
- For sewer use: secure blocks with wire to a stationary structure (e.g., manhole ladder or sewer gate) and suspend a few inches above the water line.
- Maintain a constant supply of fresh bait for at least 10 days or until signs of activity stop.
Mice
- Place 1 block per placement at 8–12 ft intervals.
- For heavy infestations, use 2 blocks per placement.
- Maintain a constant supply of fresh bait for at least 15 days or until mouse activity stops.
Follow-Up & Prevention
- Replace any contaminated or spoiled bait promptly.
- Dispose of dead rodents according to label directions.
- Help prevent reinfestation by reducing harborage, food, and water sources.
