Product Information
Talon Weatherblok XT Single Feed Bait (16 lbs)
Weatherblok XT Rodenticide is a proven rodenticide that quickly kills Norway Rats, Roof Rats, and House Mice. This anticoagulant single feed bait works against warfarin resistant rats and mice. All it takes is one night's feeding for a lethal dose. Dead rodents start appearing 4-5 days after feeding begins.
(WeatherBlox)-Very Durable
Weatherblok XT effectively combines palatability (how the rodents taste it) and weatherability (withstands harsh weather conditions). It is one of the first rodenticides to pass EPA's weatherability test. You may use Weatherblok XT indoors or outdoors and is labeled for use in drains and sewers.
Weatherblok XT survives moisture extremely well and can maintain its color and shape, even under water for day or more. Most other bait blocks will break apart.
High Bait Acceptance
Weatherblok XT has a high-quality bait matrix with high-density grain content that attracts the rodents. Rodents have been tested with this rodenticide. Rats and Mice have shown a preference in acceptability of this rodenticide compared to similar bait blocks, in some cases, 2-1 in favor of Weatherblok XT
In addition to the high-quality bait matrix, it is shaped with gnawing edges to entice rodents to eat it. It is a flatter and thicker shape than most competitive bait blocks. You can fit more on a bait station rod. This is convenient for high-density baiting in difficult situations.
It contains Bitrex, which is a human taste deterrent.
How Weatherblok XT Works
Weatherblok XT with brodifacoum is a single feed bait. Single feed baits mean that the rodent receives a lethal dosage in one feeding. Dead rodents start appearing 4-5 days after the feeding begins.
Benefit Summary
Low-dose, single feed anticoagulant
Highly weatherable, works even in extremely damp locations such as sewers and drains
Durable without sacrificing any palatability
Contains Bitrex human taste deterrent
Designed to fit more blocks on baiting rods than any of the competition
Place WeatherBlok XT in areas where the rodents travel. Such areas may include along walls, in corners, hidden and concealed locations. Look for signs such as gnaw marks, urine stains, excrement, rodent hairs, etc. For more tips in rodent inspection: Rodent Inspection Tips.
Rats and Mice Norway Rats and Roof Rats: At intervals of 15-30 ft, place 4-22 blocks of WeatherBlok XT per placement. Use tamper resistant bait stations to keep children and non-targeted animals away from the bait. To place bait in sewers, attach one end of wire to the Weatherblok XT and the other end to a stationary structure (manhole ladder or sewer gate) and suspend block a few inches above the water line. Keep a constant supply of bait for at least 10 days or until rodent signs have ceased.
Mice: At intervals of 8-12 feet, place 1 bait block per placement. For high mice activity, place 2 blocks per placement. Keep a constant supply of fresh bait for 15 days or until mouse activity has ceased.
Follow-Up: If bait gets contaminated or spoiled, replace the bait. After baiting operations have stopped, collect and dispose of dead animals. See label for disposal recommendations.
Prevention of Possible Reinfestation: Limit harborage, water and food sources.

Application
Inspect, Eliminate Food Sources and Exclude
Inspect for rodent signs. Look for signs such as urine stains, droppings, rodent hairs, gnaw marks, etc. A flashlight will help immensely.
Sanitation is critical in rodent control programs. Eliminate as many food sources as possible. Dispose trash containers regularly. Store food in sealed containers. Reducing clutter may discourage rodent hiding areas.
Exclude their entry points to decrease rodent harborage.
Seal cracks and openings around pipes and wire chases.
Install door sweeps and rodent plates on outside entrances and in critical areas, and repair cracked foundations, brick work or siding.
Reduction of clutter also reduces suitable areas for rodents to shelter and nest.
