Trelona ATBS Annual Bait Stations
Trelona ATBS Annual Bait Stations, by BASF is very similar to the ATBS Direct Bait Kit, except it does not contain the wood monitoring base (TMB) or additional lids.
Trelona ATBS Annual Bait Stations have an annual inspection label to check stations just once a year. You can check the stations more frequently if you desire or convert them into a termite bait system of pre-baiting. With pre-baiting, you would take out the Novaluron cartridges and replace them with (1) Wood base (TMB) and (1) Inspection Cartridge (TIC). The wood base and inspection cartridge attract the termites to the bait station to implement a monitoring system. Once you see termite activity around one of this monitoring stations, you replace the inspection cartridge with the Novaluron. Replace the wood base units and inspection cartridges every 12-15 months.
Whether you use this system as directly baiting with the Novaluron or pre-baiting with an inspection cartridge/wood base to attract the termites, you will need to open it with a Spider Tool.

Trelona ATBS Annual Bait Stations give ongoing structural protection through colony elimination; however, conditions such as competing insects, floods, the presence of alternative food sources, and cold weather may alter complete structural protection;
Install Trelona ATBS Annual Bait Stations at intervals; not exceeding 20 feet (unless sufficient access to the ground is not available). If any two stations at intervals on the accessible ground around the structure are more than 30 feet, the label recommends that you form 1 or more openings in the inaccessible surface to have a station between the accessible areas.
DO NOT allow more than 6 months to pass between inspections for the 120-day inspection interval.
DO NOT allow more than 15 months to pass between inspections for the annual inspection interval.
If a liquid or granular termite chemical is used with Trelona ATBS (within 2 feet), make sure that it is a non-repellent insecticide, such as Taurus SC. All other insecticides will repel the termites. The design of the Trelona bait systems is to attract the termites to the bait.
