When to Apply NM Professional Granular Deer Repellent

Peak application times are in the early spring and summer, as well as in dry zones where irrigation is used. Apply as a preventative to protect spring seedlings and sprouts before blooms start. Protect flowers and vegetables like mums, berries, pumpkins, cotton, and grapes during the fall season. In winter, diets change to evergreens and ornamental shrubs. Apply before and then on top of snow cover.

Re-Application Recommendations: With regular rainfall and irrigation, NM Professional Deer Repellent lasts 40–60 days. NM Pro Deer should not wash away in rain, although it should be sparingly reapplied after strong or regular rains.

Snake MACE snake repellent combines ingredients that effectively agitate and bewilder a snake's chemosensory faculties - their sense of taste and smell. By disrupting the Jacobson Gland of the reptile and inciting discomfort, Snake Mace solution encourages the creature to turn around and seek refuge elsewhere. The confusion caused by this formula hinders the snake's ability to gather crucial information about their surroundings, leaving them with no other option but to flee and find an alternate habitat to survive in.

Snake Repellent Application

• Before Use: Wear eye protection, and protective clothing/gloves before applying. Due to the strong percentage of ingredients, skin, eye, and respiratory tract irritants may occur from prolonged or repeated exposures. Wash after use. Not for use on food or feed crops. This product is intended for use only as a barrier repellent applied as a perimeter around vegetation. Do not apply directly to water, open waterways, or streams.
• Inspect Before Application: It is important to get snakes out first, then apply around the outside to stop them from returning.
• Avoid Contact in handling snakes if you are unfamiliar with species and their proper handling. The quick checklist shows likely places snakes may be found, in addition to the property owners' visual observance.

  Likely Places of Snake Infestation

  • Around piles of stones, pavers, and around foundations of structures
  • Cluttered basements and attics
  • Crawl space under the house
  • Feed storage areas in barn and hay lofts where rodents abound

• Apply Nature's Mace Professional Granular using a scoop (not included). Avoid using a broadcast spreader, as it does not effectively control the band strip properly.
  • Day 1: Apply 20-inch bands next to buildings, homes, playgrounds, and other areas to keep snakes from entering.
  • Day 30: Reapply in 30 days to continue to keep them away. You can also apply 3-foot bands at the perimeter of the property.
• For hard-to-reach areas (under porches, decks, and crawl spaces, put these granules in small pouches*)
  • Put these granules into several 6-8 small pouches (a little more than a golf size)
  • Throw or drop several pouches in the center area where the snakes could be nesting.
  • Snakes should start clearing out from under these areas quickly.
  • Once you are certain they are gone, apply a 24-inch band around the perimeter and/or the area they are going in and out.
  *Use cheesecloth or organza fabric cut into squares to make pouches.

Re-Application

• NM Professional Granular Snake and Iguana Repellent will last approximately 40-60 days.
• While they do not wash off in normal rainfall or irrigation, it should be lightly applied following periods of heavy downpour or consistent rainfall.
