I use this stuff on my whitetail Clover food plots to remove unwanted grass. I was a bit skeptical at first, but it actually worked great. This is my second purchase…. I now Don’t have to plant them yearly. I have many now that are 5 plus years, and they look great.

We used a 16 gal. sprayer to apply it to 7 winter deer food plots. We are converting the plots from a grass and clover mix to as much clover as we can grow.
It diluted easily into the water and after some mild agitation it was ready to spray, Waiting for the results now.

It killed my groundcover and the weeds are alive and well. :(

I'm sorry to hear that. What kind of ground cover was it? Grass Out Max is labeled for safe use on hundreds of plants. It won't kill broadleaf weeds but it takes out most grasses quite well.

There is a large list and
Quality
100%
There is a large list and specific instructions for use on vegetables, trees and ornamentals. It states for many ornamentals and perennials that they are tolerant of this grass killer. Daylilies and lirope are on the list but note “tolerantâ€. Tolerant basically is it won’t kill them or shouldn’t if you use as directed (don’t over use, and don’t over apply at wrong time and temps, rates, etc ). I have found most people think if it says 1/4 Oz etc that means 1/2 cup is okay or they can eyeball it without proper measuring. Your kitchen spoons or a bottle cat is not correct. Neither is a old coffee cup or juice jar that you remember was almost or somewhere around 8 Oz. You have to be precise and use the correct measuring devices. This is for any chemicals, and don’t use too much or not enough surfactant. Many people think okay I can use Dawn dish soap or some Tide laundry detergent — not so. There are harmful ingredients in these to plant items. Use precisely what it calls for. If you don’t know the difference between ionic or non-ionic look it up and call the manufacturer to make sure you know what you are doing or you will kill what you didn’t want to kill. Below is the full manufactures label with the list and you can also use just the www.agrisel.com see the number to call or email them for questions.

Folks, you can’t spray

Folks, you can’t spray this on plants with grass features like daylilies, lirope, etc Go to the website of the manufacturer and research any herbicide to see if the plants will be okay. You daylilies may come back....provided you followed directions precisely. I would dig the plant and check the roots of the daylily and if they are okay looking sit back down in another area and give them some TLC. But it is a grass killer and things in the grass family will be affected temporarily at least if not killed. Show more
