Bonide's Captan Fungicide is in a wettable powder formulation and acts as a contact fungicide for certain fungus diseases for fruits, ornamentals and grasses. It also serves as a control of damping-off disease which effects the seeds and seedlings.
What is Damping-Off Disease ?
Fungus causes Damping-Off disease. These fungi is present in any soil. It causes the seeds to die. This disease causes the seeds to die without germinating. Damping-off disease is encouraged in damp, high humidity and cloud day conditions. As much light as possible and water control will help these conditions.
To this date, Captan as an active ingredient has never had a disease resistance problem.
