Instructions( Room Temperature)
- Let glue come to room temperature
- Dip hands and scissors in soapy water to prevent glue from sticking, wear gloves
- Pull out desired amount from the gallon container, cut excess with scissors
- Place the glue on desired surface (cardboard, foil, plastic trays, bottom of boxes, etc)
- Using a putty knife or your hands, spread the glue to about a 1/4" depth for rat control and 1/8" for mice control
Heating the Glue for Easier Application
Heating the glue would make the application easier. Heat is slowly in an oven or hot plate. Bring it up to 250 ° F, occasionally stirring for 1-2 hours. Do not exceed 2 hours. With extreme caution, remove the glue container with heat resistant gloves and place on a stable surface. Apply with an oiled putty knife to spread the glue.
Placement of Customized Glue Boards
Rats or Squirrels: Place them about 10 feet apart along runways that the rodents are running, against the walls. We suggest letting the rats and squirrels get use to the idea of a new object in place and keeping the trap there at least 10 days before moving it. You could use a little bit of lure in the middle of the trap. Use Hercules Putty on the bottom of the traps to make sure the traps remain stationary.
Mice : Place about 5 feet apart along their runways against the wall.
Removal of Glue from Hands or Pets' Paws
Use and oil like vegetable oil or baby oil to remove the glue.
