How Does Contrac Soft Bait Work?
Rodents like roof rats, Norway rats, and house mice can consume a lethal dose in just one feeding session, often within a single night. This means that only one feeding is necessary to effectively eliminate a rodent. Typically, you may notice the first deceased rodent within four to five days after it has ingested the bait. This rapid action demonstrates the potency and efficiency of Contrac Soft Bait in controlling rodent populations effectively.
Directions:
Identify areas where mice, rats, or meadow voles are active, such as near burrows, along walls, at gnawed openings, in hidden spots, corners, and in spaces between floors and walls.
Whenever possible, eliminate any other food sources these rodents might be consuming.
Place Contrac Soft Bait inside or within 100 feet of a structure; it is illegal to bait around the perimeter of buildings.
Use tamper-resistant bait stations to safeguard children, pets, and non-target wildlife from exposure to the bait.
According to regulations, above-ground baiting requires the use of rodent bait stations that resist tampering and are proven effective against children under six years old and dogs.
Ambush Bait Stations are durable rodent bait stations designed to hold Contrac Bait or T Rex Traps. They are renowned for their robust tamper resistance, and are suitable for both mice and rats.
Application:
Rats: position 9–43 sachets per location every 15–30 feet in areas where infestation is evident. Ensure a consistent supply of bait for at least ten days, or until rat activity diminishes.
Mice and Meadow Voles: Place 1-2 sachets every 8–12 feet (up to 6 sachets per location if there is high mouse activity).
Maintain a continuous supply for 15 days or until signs of mouse activity cease.
Follow-up: In cases of reinfestation, repeat the treatment as necessary.
To prevent reinfestation, minimize access to food, water, and shelter areas.
For persistent rodent issues, deploy permanent rodent bait stations with a steady supply of fresh bait.
