Mix and Pour Solution Around the Base of Trees and Shrubs
Fertilome Tree and Shrub Systemic Insect Drench is a mix and pour solution to apply to the base of trees and shrubs. It prevents insects from damaging trees and shrubs.
One application protects against listed insects for up to 12 months. Insects stop eating when they feed.
Cannot be washed off by rain or water
Kills listed insects, including Japanese Beetles & Emerald Ash Borers. (See label for a complete list)

How To Apply Fertilome Tree and Shrub Systemic Insect Drench
Fill a bucket or watering can with 1 gallon of water. For trees with circumference greater than 50”, use 2 gallons of water.
Shake the bottle of Fertilome Tree & Shrub Systemic Insect Drench well.
Carefully measure required amount into bucket.
Slowly pour the solution evenly around the tree. For best results, pour as close to the trunk/main stem of the tree/shrub as possible.
Fill the bucket with clean water and pour it around the trunk as well.

Trees: 1 oz. per inch of distance around trunk
Trees with 2 or more trunks: Measure the distance (in inches) around each tree trunk and add together. Multiply this total by 0.75 to get the required number of ounces of this to apply.
Shrubs: 3 oz. per foot of height-Measure the height of the shrub to the nearest foot. Round any inches down to the nearest foot if less than 6” and up to the nearest foot if greater than 6”. Multiply the number of feet by 3 – this is the number of ounces of this product to apply.

It is best to apply it in the fall before any issues arise, though it can be used year-round as long as the ground is not saturated or frozen. If dry spells persist, it is recommended to thoroughly water the plant before applying. In cases of severe infestation, first, use a labeled foliar insecticide and then make this product a regular part of your routine maintenance.
