Product Information
Combines 4 Different Active Ingredients
Ferti-lome Weed Free Zone is an effective blend of four reliable weed killers, including 2,4-D, mecoprop-p, dicamba, and carfentrazone-ethyl. By applying this solution post-emergence, homeowners can effectively eliminate a diverse range of broadleaf weeds from both cool and warm-season residential lawns. With fast-acting properties, users will start to notice results within just a few hours of application, with full plant death occurring between 7-14 days following treatment.
Target More than 80 Species of Broadleaf Weeds
This potent herbicide effectively targets more than 80 species of broadleaf weeds, among them Clover, Ground Ivy, Spurge, Chickweed, Dandelion, Henbit, Oxalis, Poison Ivy, Purslane, Shepherds Purse, Thistle, Virginia Buttonweed, Wild Onion, and several others listed on the product label.
When To Apply
Applying the Fertilome Weed Free Zone is recommended for best results when young and actively growing broadleaf weeds are present.
This herbicide can be used during the spring, summer, or fall, with preference given to spring and fall treatments under appropriate soil moisture conditions. Summer treatments are generally less effective when applied to older, drought-stressed weeds.
When dealing with mature weeds, dense infestations, or unfavorable environmental conditions, it is recommended to use the herbicide via broadcast applications or follow-up treatments at 2-6 week intervals. Sparse infestations during the summer may warrant spot treatments or serve as a follow-up treatment whenever broadleaf weeds are vulnerable.
