How Inzecto Mosquito Traps Work
The patented coating on these traps contains both an insecticide and an insect growth regulator. The dual-mode action kills both mosquitoes and their larvae on contact. The insecticide is released in very small amounts and is not released into the environment. If any mosquitoes survive the initial coating, they will lay eggs, and the larvicide in the water will kill all of them.
Which types of Mosquitoes Are Killed
The Aedes family (Aedes aegypti and Aedes albopictus) are the most common mosquitoes in yards in urban areas. These mosquitoes are the ones that annoy us and transmit such diseases as West Nile, dengue, zika, chikungunya, equine encephalitis, canine filariasis, yellow fever, and more.
