Get Rid of California Ground Squirrels and Fleas
The purpose of Kaput Ground Squirrel Bait is to manage California ground squirrels around man-made structures, such as yards and flower gardens, with secure, tamper-proof bait stations. Additionally, the insecticide present in the product might work systemically to alleviate flea infestations in California ground squirrels.
Fleas such as Oropsylla montana and Hoplopsyllus anomalous could be eliminated through this product. It is vital to adhere strictly to the guidelines specified on the label, applying the product solely to the pests, locations, and methods indicated. Avoid widespread distribution of this product.
Use Tamper-Resistant Bait Stations
For safe usage of this product, it is necessary to apply it in rat-sized bait stations that are tamper-resistant and secure. We recommend Protecta LP bait stations. These stations should be constructed in a way that prevents children under the age of six and dogs from accessing the bait compartments. Moreover, they should be placed so that they cannot be overturned by pets, young children, or winds. In areas where livestock and non-target wildlife are present, the bait stations must be secured so that non-target animals cannot easily overturn them. It is crucial to dispose of the product container unused, spoiled, or unconsumed bait, as per the guidelines mentioned on the label.
Application Directions:
To properly apply the bait, it is important to secure the bait stations(rat-sized bait stations) in areas where they can be easily accessed by California ground squirrels, preferably close to their active burrows. The distance between stations should be determined based on the population density, with 20 to 100 feet being the recommended range.
It is recommended to wear waterproof gloves and use a long-handled scooping device to transfer 2 to 4 pounds of bait to each station. Regularly check the stations to ensure a constant supply of bait is available for at least 15 days or until signs of feeding appear for successful application.
