Nattaro Scout Bed Bug Monitors are detection traps. These monitors use a unique blend of bed bug pheromone lures that simulate bed bug aggregation. Use Nattaro Scout monitors both as an early monitoring tool and after bed bug treatments for verification of the success of your bed bug treatment.
Nattaro Scout Uses
Confirm a suspected bed bug infestation
In areas of high risks of infestations (e.g., hotel beds), use these monitors for a continuing program of inspection.
After bed bug treatment, verify the success of the treatment without guessing.
How Nattaro Works
The pheromone attracts all stages (males, females, and nymphs) to the monitor as it releases the natural scent of bed bug aggregation (normal sized bed bug infestation). The lure lasts for 3 weeks, with a catch rate of 75-95% during days 3-15. The pheromone's attractant has been tested in Nattaro labs and Lund University.
The bed bugs climb into the monitor, but can not exit it, becoming trapped in the pitfall.
Nattaro Scout Placements
Place these monitors near your bed, since 90-95 % most of the bed bug population is near the bed. The design of these monitors may easily fit on the floor (under the bed frame), between mattresses, near the leg of the bed, etc.
