Pivot 10 IGR Concentrate is a versatile and long-lasting insect growth regulator (IGR) designed to disrupt the life cycle of pests by targeting their ability to mature and reproduce. With the active ingredient Pyriproxyfen (Nylar), Pivot 10 prevents eggs and larvae from developing, effectively breaking the breeding cycle of various pests, including fleas, mosquitoes, roaches, and beetles. Its photo-stable formulation allows it to last longer outdoors compared to other IGRs like Gentrol or Precor.
Key Benefits
- Broad-Spectrum Control: Effective against fleas, flies, crickets, roaches, beetles, mosquitoes, and more.
- Extended Residual Effect: Provides up to 7 months of protection after application.
- Cost-Effective Coverage: One 110 ml bottle covers between 6,000 and 13,000 sq. ft. depending on application and infestation level.
Applications
For detailed usage instructions, including specific application types, please consult the Product Label, Safety Data Sheet (SDS), and packaging materials included with Pivot 10 IGR Concentrate.
Surface Applications
Mix 4-8 ml of Pivot 10 with 1 gallon of water for spot, broadcast, or crack-and-crevice treatments. Apply in areas with insect populations, using a fan spray pattern for best results.
ULV Applications
Use Pivot 10 as a fog or ULV (ultra-low volume) space spray with foggers or misting equipment. Apply at a rate of 1 ml per 1,000 cubic feet. Ensure all occupants leave the area, turn off ventilation, and keep the room closed for at least 30 minutes.
Void Applications
For deep voids, use specialized injection equipment to apply Pivot 10. Ensure proper settings and air pressure, and ventilate the area thoroughly before re-entry.
Food Handling Applications
Apply Pivot 10 as a general surface spray or spot treatment in food handling areas. Remove or cover all food items before application. Spot treatments can be done while the facility operates if food is covered; however, space sprays and ULV fogs should be applied when the facility is closed. Do not replace food until Pivot 10 has dried.
Integrated Pest Management in Schools
Pivot 10 is suitable for schools and daycare facilities but should only be applied when the premises are unoccupied. Re-entry is permitted once surfaces are completely dry.
Indoor and Outdoor Applications for Flying Insects
As a standalone treatment, Pivot 10 reduces fly populations within 3-4 weeks. After cleaning, apply the diluted spray to breeding sites like decaying organic matter. Repeat every 2-4 weeks as needed.
Foam Applications
For drain fly control, mix 4–8 ml of Pivot 10 in 1 gallon of water with a foaming agent. Follow foaming equipment instructions for application.
Outdoor Applications
Apply Pivot 10 as a general surface spray at 4–12 ml per 1,000 sq. ft., treating all known breeding sites thoroughly, including building walls, porches, decks, stagnant water, and shady areas.
