Although not stated on the label, according to the manufacturer, it controls broadleaf weeds such as alfalfa, clover, dandelion, groundsel, curly dock, jimsonweed, horseweed, mesquite, locoweed, kudzu, ragweed, nightshade, sicklepod, sunflower, sowthistle, vetch and other thistles.

Star Thistle Killer with Clopyralid 40.90% is a selective broadleaf killer known for its effectiveness for killing such nuisance weeds as Canadian Thistles, Musk Thistles, Yellow Thistles, and Spotted and Diffuse Knapweeds. This potent herbicide is the same as Dow's Transline and may be used in pre and post emergent applications.

Star Thistle Killer is a selective broadleaf killer labeled for use in ranchette pastures, rangeland, and permanent grass pastures. In California, it may only be used on ranchette pastures and noncrop areas. When applied as directed on the label, there are no grazing restrictions. Grasses are tolerant to this product, but legumes in pastures will be killed.

Application

• Use 1/4 oz (1.5 tsp) in 2 gallons of water, per 1,000 sq ft.
• 8 oz bottle will treat 1/2 acre (24,000 sq ft).
• Best time to treat is when plants are in the early rosette to mid bloom. Do not wait until the thistles are in full bloom and have hardened. The best time in California is between January and March.
