Hyvar X-L is a water soluble liquid herbicide, with Lithium salt of bromacil --- 21.9%. Hyvar X-L provides control for tough weeds in the perennial and annual brush species. It is noted for its effectiveness in severe situations where brush or perennial grass control is required. It is effective for many annual weeds such as Crabgrass and Ragweed at low rates and the perennial weeds and brush weeds such as Dandelion and Willow at higher rates. It is also useful against cheatgrass, foxtail, ryegrass, wild oats, bahiagrass, dog fennel, purple top, goldenrod, winged elm and many listed weeds on the label. Hyvar X-L may be applied diluted or undiluted as basal (soil) or broadcast applications for brush control of undesirable woody plants.

It is effective for many annual weeds such as Crabgrass and Ragweed at low rates and the perennial weeds and brush weeds such as Dandelion and Willow at higher rates. It is also useful against cheatgrass, foxtail, ryegrass, wild oats, bahiagrass, dog fennel, purple top, goldenrod, winged elm and many listed weeds on the label. Hyvar X-L is a non-selective weed, so do not apply near desirable plants or trees.
General Instructions: For brush control, use 3 to 6 gallons per acre. Mix 16 ounces of Hyvar X-L Herbicide per gallon of water and apply 25 to 50 gallons per acre. For harder to control weeds, use a higher rate in areas where weed control is needed. Hyvar X-L Herbicide provides short-term control of listed weeds when low rates are selected; higher rates will extend control period. See label for detailed instructions.
Application Timing: Apply Hyvar X-L Herbicide from late winter through summer during the period of active growth or before this period. Moisture (rainfall) is needed after Hyvar X-L application in order to activate it.
- Non-Crop Areas: It is not for use on residential lawns or landscapes, but may be used in non-crop areas (industrial, utility, railroads, fence rows, highway rights-of-way, lumber yards, petroleum tank farms, farm storage areas).
- Bareground: Ideal for hard to kill or tough perennial weeds and grasses.
- Spot Treatments: Also labeled for diluted or undiluted with water for various brush species on non-crop sites.
- Hyvar X-L may be applied as a preemergence or early postemergence on targeted species that are germinating or growing.
- Moisture is required for activation.

For Non-Agricultural Usage in all other areas of the state, do not apply more than 3.2 gallons per acre per year of Hyvar X-L Herbicide. This amount corresponds to 6.4 pounds of bromacil, the active ingredient in Hyvar X-L Herbicide. The maximum allowable use rate for bromacil is 6.4 pounds per acre per year inclusive of all bromacil formulations. |
