Inspection and Site Selection
Identify areas with signs of rodent activity such as droppings, gnaw marks, burrows, or runways. Effective baiting spots include along walls and foundations, dark or hidden spaces like basements and crawl spaces, corners, between walls and floors, and near burrow entrances.
For white-footed mice, bait can also be placed at the base of trees within labeled use sites. Limiting other food sources will improve bait effectiveness.
Application for Mice
Place 1 block per placement, spaced 8 to 12 feet apart.
In areas with heavy infestations, use 2 blocks per placement.
Maintain a continuous supply of fresh bait for at least 15 days or until signs of mouse activity have ceased.
Application for Rats
Place 4 to 16 blocks per placement, spaced 15 to 30 feet apart in infested areas.
Maintain a continuous supply of fresh bait for at least 10 days or until signs of rat activity have ceased.
Application for Voles
Target areas within 100 feet of buildings where vole activity is present, such as plant girdling, burrow openings, or surface runways.
Use bait stations and place 1 block per station near vole activity, including burrows and damaged plants.
Maintain a steady supply of fresh bait for 15 days or until feeding and activity stop.
After treatment, collect and properly dispose of any remaining bait using protective gloves.
