Product Information

Potent Rodent Bait-Low Environmental and Secondary Toxicity

Kaput Mouse Blocks are a potent rodenticide that can effectively eliminate various mice and rats, including house mice, white-footed mice, deer mice, voles, and Norway and Roof rats. This rodent bait is fortified with warfarin, a highly effective anticoagulant with low environmental and secondary toxicity. It is widely used in rodenticides to eliminate rodents even at low concentrations.

Besides warfarin, the blocks are made resistant to moisture and durable by adding paraffin. The blocks feature a ridged surface that encourages rodent gnawing and a center hole that facilitates use in bait stations. The quality material used to make the grains ensures that rodents will continue to return for more.

Directions For Mice and Rat Control

  • Inspect and Select: To effectively lure and eliminate target rodents, it is essential to identify the most probable locations where they will discover and consume the bait. Typically, these spots can be found near walls and building foundations, in dark and hidden spaces like cellars and crawl spaces, around gnawed openings, corners, and other concealed locations, as well as in the spaces between walls and floors, beside burrow openings, and other places where signs of rodents have been spotted. In the case of white-footed mice, the bases of trees situated in permitted-use sites can serve as viable baiting points. It is important to limit access to alternative food sources as much as possible to ensure that rodents will take the bait.
  • For Mice: Use 1 block per placement at 8 to 12-foot intervals. Use 2 blocks only at points of extremely high mouse activity.
    • Maintain an uninterrupted supply of fresh bait for 15 days or until there are no longer fresh signs of mouse activity or feeding on bait.
  • For Rats: Use 4 - 16 blocks per placement in intervals of 15 - 30 feet in infested areas.
  • Maintain an uninterrupted supply of fresh bait for 10 days or until there is no longer fresh signs of rat activity or feeding on bait.

Application

Vole Control:

  • Select Treatment Area: Identify locations within a 100-foot radius of human-made edifices where voles or indications of their activity, such as plant girdling, bulb consumption, burrow apertures, and surface pathways, have been observed. Typically, such sites will be found in flower gardens or beneath shrubbery, bushes, or ground cover.
  • Bait Placement: Use bait stations. Use one block into each bait station and position the stations near the areas where voles have been causing damage, such as burrow openings, runways, or plants. It is crucial to ensure a steady and uninterrupted supply of fresh bait for 15 days or until there is no longer any indication of vole activity or feeding on the bait. Once the application period is complete, collect and dispose of any leftover bait while wearing protective gloves.
