Mosquito Dunks Stop Larvae Before They Bite
Mosquito Dunks target mosquitoes in the larval stage before they become biting adults. Mosquitoes lay eggs in standing water and once conditions are right the eggs hatch into larvae. These larvae feed and grow in the water before turning into adult mosquitoes.
By treating standing water early, Mosquito Dunks help stop the mosquito life cycle at the source.
How Mosquito Dunks Work
Mosquito Dunks float on the water surface and slowly release Bti also known as Bacillus thuringiensis israelensis. This biological larvicide is eaten by mosquito larvae in the treated water.
Once consumed, Bti disrupts the larvae’s digestive system and prevents them from developing into adult mosquitoes. Each dunk can keep working for 30 days or longer when used as directed.
Are Mosquito Dunks Safe?
Mosquito Dunks contain Bti which is a targeted mosquito larvicide. It is designed to control mosquito larvae and black fly larvae without using harsh chemical insecticides.
