Product Information
Triad TZ Select
Use Triad TZ Select on Kentucky bluegrass, fine and tall fescues, and perennial ryegrass as a selective herbicide against hard-to-kill broadleaf weeds such as white clover, dandelion, spurge, plantains, ground ivy, Virginia buttonweed and wild violet. It will also suppress yellow nutsedge.
Featured Benefits
- Tough weed control for some of the toughest broadleaf weeds.
- It improves cool-weather performance.
- It can be applied to fully dormant Zoysia, Bermuda, and Bahia grasses.
- One of the active ingredients, (Sulfentrazone) contributes to the speed rate of action (rate of weed phytotoxicity, yellowing).
- Generally rainfast in three hours.
Active Ingredients
Triad TZ Select contains four active ingredients with two modes of action to provide dependable post-emergent control of broadleaf weeds.
Application
Turfgrass Tolerance: If used on listed warm-season turfgrass, temporary yellowing may occur.
When to apply: For best results, apply Triad TZ Select to broadleaf weeds that are young and actively growing during the spring and fall months with adequate soil moisture. Summer broadcast applications would be less effective under drought-stressed conditions.
Spray volume and spray pressures: Spray pressures should be between 20-40 PSI, with spray volumes of 10-220 gallons of finished solution per acre. If the weed population is dense, use a higher volume (up to 220 gallons per acre or 5 gallons per 1,000 square feet).

- Dormant Turf: Triad TZ Select may be applied to fully dormant bermudagrass, fully dormant zoysiagrass and fully dormant bahiagrass.
- Note: Do not apply to above listed warm-season turfgrass unless turf injury can be tolerated. It is impossible to test all environmental conditions for the listed warm-season turfgrass. We suggest testing this product on a small area and observe the treated area for 30 days to determine the acceptability of turf discoloration. Do not apply this product to warm-season turfgrass during Spring green-up or in the Fall during the transition period between active growth and dormancy.
What To Expect
After application, the weed control effects may be seen within a few hours to a few days. After 1-4 weeks of application, weed death occurs. This timing depends on the environmental conditions, weed sensitivity, and application rate.
