By itself, the SenSci Volcano Bed Bug Detector acts as a passive monitor but may be converted to an active monitor by including the SenSci Activ lure.
Place these detectors near your bed in the infested bedroom. If someone is not present in the bedroom at night, you will need to add the lure (that mimics chemicals on the human skin) to attract the bed bugs.
