The four-chamber internal funnel design takes advantage of carpenter bees' strong senses of smell and hearing. Three aeration holes release pheromone scents and sounds from trapped bees, attracting more bees away from your home and wooden structures.
Trap Placement and Emptying
For active carpenter bee infestations, place traps directly over existing bee holes and add Bee-licious Bee Bait.
We recommend spraying a long-term residual insecticide, like Cyzmic CS, on surfaces where bees are burrowing to help steer them away from your structures.
If you don't have carpenter bees yet, place traps at the corners and peaks of structures, preferably on the sunniest side of your home.
Each trap includes a metal clasp, a 9-foot pull cord, and a pull ring for quick emptying with the spring-loaded release door.
To mount the trap, use the two pre-drilled holes in the roof.
For a deep clean, use a household or shop vacuum. Pull the black plug, insert the vacuum hose, and capture bees safely for release or disposal.
