Try to pay attention to the ant trails outside. Sometimes you can go outside and see them rather easy. Other times you just have to be lucky. But anyway if you have an idea where they are entering your house make sure you spray that area well. Expect anywhere from 1 to 2 weeks to see results.

Taurus SC and Sprectre PS Kit- Non-Repellents
Use this ant control kit to treat ants inside and outside with the non-repellent insecticides Taurus SC and Spectre PS Aerosol. Using a pest control method with non-repellent insecticides for ant control is superior to repellent insecticides because the ants can not detect its presence. If ants can detect an insecticide, they will go around it and enter the structure differently. With non-repellent insecticides, the ants go thru the chemicals without avoiding them. As the ants go thru the Taurus SC and Spectre PS Aerosol, the foraging ants are covered with the insecticide, taking it back to the nest to share with other ants.

How To Apply Non-Repellent Ant Kit
- Outside with Taurus SC: Mix 0.8 oz of Taurus SC per gallon of water in a pump sprayer. Spray around the house 18 inches up the side of your house and 18 inches out from the house setting up a perimeter. Spray 18 inches around where listed pests(including ants) enter, trail around the structure, or where crawl and hide. Remove vegetation touching the house so the ants and other pests cannot bypass the ant treatment.
- Inside with Spectre PS Aerosol : This non-repellent aerosol comes with a handy tip to use as a crack and crevice tool. Spectre PS Aerosol would be most helpful to achieve a quick knockdown of the ants (already inside), while the Taurus SC works on the outside areas.

Since Taurus has to be sprayed on the building, it is not as likely to get a direct hit from the rain so you rarely have to reapply it.

We have been paying a pest control company which is now $60 a month to maintain my uncles house. The new tenant reported an invasion of termites. The pest control company wants more money to eliminate them. My feeling is if they had been doing their job this would not be happening. What would you recommend to eliminate this problem ourselves. Right now the pest control company is using scare tactics against the tenant to get more money.

We are having trouble getting rid of flying ants. We find them around the sink and counter area in the kitchen. They don’t fly around (haven’t seen that) but they have wings.

Winged ants are the reproductive ants that leave the nest on a mating flight to spread and create new colonies. They are focused on that task and will not be interested in feeding. The key will be to find the ants without wings. Those are the food gathering ants. You can put out a bait for them to take back to the nest. I like Optigard Ant Bait Gel or treating the exterior of the structure with Taurus SC so that the workers trail through it and track it back to the queen.

With taurus sc can you spray the whole yard for fire ants? And if so how often would you have to reapply due to sprinklers running on the yard?

No. Taurus cannot be used in the yard at all. Only on the structure and within one foot of the structure.

Most of the areas sprayed will be protected by the overhang of the building so retreatment after rainfall is not needed.
