Bromacil is comparable to Krovar and can be used as a soil serilant to create bare ground.
Best Treatment Tips
Bromicil 40/40 is absorbed through the roots. Use Bromacil 40/40 as a pre-emergent just before or after weeds have germinated in moist soil. Bromicil 40/40 is absorbed through the roots.
Apply the bare ground sterilant to moist soil. Keep the soil moist within two weeks of application
Weed Control Symptoms
The weed control symptoms will appear slowly or may not be noticeable until the chemicals have been carried to the root system by moisture. The degree and duration of control will vary with the amount of herbicide applied, rainfall, soil texture, and other soil and water management practices.
Tank Mix
Bromacil/Diuron 40/40 may be combined with appropriate herbicides labeled for non-agricultural or citrus use. See label for additional information.

Application
For listed Broadleaf weed and grasses use 6-16 lbs per acre. See label for specific rates.
Prior to and during application, continuous agitation is necessary to keep the product in suspension. Agitate spray tank contents by mechanical or hydraulic means; do not use air agitation. Note: if a by-pass or return line is used, it should terminate at the bottom of the tank to minimize foaming.
Use as a preemergence spray prior to or during the rainy season when weeds are actively germinating or growing. Moisture is required.
Best results are obtained if Bromacil/Diuron 40/40 is applied to bare ground. If dense populations of hard-to-kill weed species are present, control of these weeds prior to application of Bromacil/Diuron 40/40 is recommended. If weeds are present at the time of application, tank mixtures with foliar active herbicides are recommended (refer to the tank mixture specific guidelines section of the label for guidelines on using Bromacil/Diuron 40/40 in a tank mixture).Â
